In her true story, The Diary of Jasmine Grace, this modern-day abolitionist reflects on the values and experiences that influenced her. From a relationship with a man who eventually sold her body to redemption in the back of a car, Jasmine reveals the strengths, weaknesses and processes that changed her.

She shares insights into her life as a prostitute, recounts her diary and the struggles that eventually landed her a place in a 12-step programme, a job in the anti-trafficking movement and a place in a community. Jasmine speaks candidly about her years as a prostitute and heroin addict, sharing how faith has affected her and offering insights into the journey of recovery, relapse and redemption.
WE GIVE BACK
When we speak at local events and attendees buy Jasmine’s book, the buyers have the option to donate one to a woman in need. And thanks to her generosity, we have already given away over 300 books to women in need.
AND EVENTS
As survivors of the commercial sex trade recovery, we offer a unique and powerful perspective on what it takes to recover from the damage “the life” has done. With humour, grace and professionalism, we are available to speak at women’s conferences, give a keynote address at galas/fundraisers, participate on a panel with other experts or train professionals on the warning signs of sex trafficking and prevention strategies.
We also offer ‘engagement style’ meetings for women’s recovery programmes. We love to share our experiences, strength and hope with women who are in the early stages of recovery.
As survivors of commercial sex trafficking, addiction and trauma, JGO team members are effective keynote speakers, panelists and facilitators for trainings, workshops and groups. These dedicated women are available to speak at events to help prevent, educate and raise awareness about the world of addiction, sexual exploitation and recovery. We want to advocate for those who need help and hope. We also want to educate those who want to get involved and volunteer.
The holistic approach to treating disease is to identify the causes of the disease and then provide information and use natural methods to eliminate and heal those causes. The holistic approach focuses on healing. It treats disease as “malaise” — an imbalance of mind, body and spirit. The holistic approach provides information and methods to rebalance mind, body and spirit.
Addictions also involve an imbalance of mind, body and spirit. The holistic approach aims to heal the addiction, to reverse it. To do this, we need to remove the root causes of the addiction and rebalance mind, body and spirit.
Regardless of whether an addiction is a substance or a behaviour, the holistic approach is always the same, to rebalance body, mind and spirit. This requires accurate information and specific techniques. This includes information and techniques related to spiritual practices such as meditation, prayer and visualisations, cleansing and healing of the energy body, positive thinking techniques, emotional relaxation, detoxification, nutrition, exercise and stretching,
The holistic approach includes some elements found in the Twelve Steps — especially with regard to the spiritual components of the Twelve Steps. The Twelve Steps were developed by Alcoholics Anonymous and later used to treat drug addiction. However, the holistic approach goes beyond the Twelve Steps.
The holistic approach also uses love for healing. To a large extent, it is a lack of love that leads to addiction (a lack of love for the addict by others and a lack of self-love). So the antidote to the lack of love is more and more love, kindness, gentleness, positive words and gestures and positive energy — the energy of infinite, unconditional love. Love heals.
The main causes of addiciton help are mental, emotional and energetic problems. These problems include obsessive thoughts and cravings. These thoughts and cravings are caused by negative changes in bran chemistry and brain wave activity.jasmine grace
